do any of you guys use a host on a regular basis alongside your other equipment, if so what method do you use and what dry powder/sponges do you use.

I know a guy who pre-sprays M/S on sisal agitates and then uses enviro-dri...good result.
He also pre-sprays craftex multi-solve on office traffic lanes and then dri granules with excellent results.
He carries a small spotting machine for the odd coffee/tea spill. Enviro-Dri can be used beside HWE.

Used Prochem dry ganules on a BW as specifically instructed by client. She was happy and paid up but I was unhappy with results. (I used my Envirodry to brush in.)

What else could i have done to improve the finished clean?

Over to the Ultra LM cleaners for their views as I would genuinely like to know and they all seem to have disappeared of late.

You could have done a light mist wit micro splitter, Nemesis, MPower, then agitated, then dwell (if the latter 2), then use the Prochem sponges (if thats what she specified) or Envirodri sponges if you were using what you wanted.

When i did my training course years ago i was shown that process - i looked at it & thought what a load of rubbish - since then i have worked with Alan Turner in Swindon cleaning 1000's of m in a hotel - i have to say i was well impressed - only reason Alan changed to thermadry was product cost -

i have to say though we cleaned function rooms bars & the restaurants in the hotel this was over a period of about 2 years - we didn't have any problems

Morning Jon hows things in Wales mate i am just waiting for the repair to my transit and its gonna be 500 plus(aaaaaaaaagh) so cap in hand to Julie again im afraid.Anyway host as with the other alternatives can do a very good job but in my opinion really have to have the benefits sold to the clients to warrant the extra product cost of the sponges. If anyone is thinking of going DRY then feel free to buy my website off me WWW.DRYCLEANCARPETS.CO.UK and promote it heavily to get the ball bouncing as there is a market out there for this service.Regards Alan(swindon)

Several years ago I clean a large office area with Host. Vacuumed as thoroughly as possible, but still left it looking like the Sahara desert!
