did my first day with wfp today, didnt go too bad, but got just over half of what done of what i normaly get done, does that sound right?

I have been a little bit worried about changing over and the first house i did today didnt help. I cleaned the windows, took my time to make sure they were done properly, knoced for the money and said about the new system and the windows would be left wet ect, his reply was "im really not happy to tell you the truth". He didnt like that they were left wet and said he would have to got out and wipe them dry with a shammy. I told him it would be best not to becasue they wouldnt dry properly, anyway he is going to see how it goes and let me know next time wether he wants them done with wfp.

So that knocked my confidence, but the rest of the day didnt go too bad, apart from a leaking letter box that let water through.

Will i need to give the top of the frames a clean next month?

Hope to get a bit more done tomorrow, hope to speed up a bit with out sacrificing job quality.

we all lose our confidence in the early days mate , try not to let it bother you one day i was wanting to pack it all in 2 1/2 yrs later trad is a distant memory , It will take alot longer first time round i phased my round in a bit at a time over 3 months till i gained in confidence just do what feels right you will get faster in time

some dont like change i told a mine if they dont like it then find someone else and told them about a window cleaner that fell off his ladder and had claim off house insurance because his own refused to pay out because he could of done them with a pole more gory you make it the better the affect  . I would avoid doing doors with WFP and just wipe them with a clothe.yes it take twice as long at first but then it all clicks and the money starts rolling in

1.clean ALL frames first time really well and rinse them then go back to first window and concentrate scrubbing the glass making sure you rinse really well.

2.accept youll be slower first time.

3.trad some downstairs windows of fussy unconvinced custies.

4.maintain a positive attitude about wfp.

5.itll take 2 or 3 cleans before you ll notice how much better/quicker/easier it is than trad.

6.you will get spotting and runs and some complaints that for sure!just stick at it!IT WILL GET MUCH BETTER!!

7.I only lost 3 custies out of 340 as a direct result of wfp.

do i need to clean the top of the frames next time? and how often should i clean the top of the frame, and when i do will the glass need cleaning twice, like a first clean, or will the build up of dirt gone that it will only need a good rinse?

i give a quick wipe every clean and rinse to keep the dirt down some only do it every forth clean

if they were left 4 cleans, would there be a problem with spotting? or does a good rinse sort it out?

try and clean downstairs vents with an old beer mat, towel etc, and upstairs ones clean with wfp, but leave to dry, or go around back do them too, then come back to front and make sure theyve stopped dripping, i only do that whenever they start going really dirty, say once every year or two.

pole and brush is there takes less than a second to clean the top of frame just avoid the vent most of my customers want the frames done as well its all part of the window and makes you stand out from the rest

and front doors just avoid letter boxes, or just wipe above it.

if you take the time and effort on the first few cleans, then all cleans afterwards are easy,  as they only get a month worth of dirt

lee, if the customers ever say, i dont like it when the windows are wet, just say, smiling, so what do you do when it rains, take the windows in
