George question ( now a back up problem)

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to permanently delete a job,

i know it can be clicked on as a completed job,  but i want to delete them totally. i dont want a list of completed jobs , i want shut.  ;)

I think if it's been prcessed as complete you can't delete it

yes it classed as a complete job,i must admit it had me baffled for a week or 2

The only way to delete a job, is to delete all the history for that job first.

I dont think you can ever delete it completly.
It is a record of work done therefore the tax man requires it. If you were to get rid that would be like saying you never did it.

easy peasy to delete .... as H2ose says go into history and delete it all then go into amend customer details ( I think) then u will see the button to delete.

Thats solved it thanks guys.!

Got another problem now,... when its finshed and i come out of george it asks for a back up, yes or no...... i have backed to cd usually , but this time it wont let me...

it just gives me the option of vista "c"... and a choice in the left column of .. data, george, back up, but no cd option,

any help would be great,

I get a dropdown option of drives where I want to save, just click wherever it is you want to save to....or is that the option you don't have?

only just paid for it so got internet backup as part of the deal automatically backs it up for you ... however call me paranoid but i rekon mr george now has all sorts of figures from a load of windies from all over the uk ... bet that would make some good reading/ analysing  :D
