Hi All
I have been using a Vauxhall Movano for the past two years and it's been a good van, loads of room for 1000 litre tank, gutter vac, pressure washer etc etc. But it is now 10 years old and I am thinking of changing it at some point soonish. {It's also too big sometimes}
Thinking about a double cab pick up truck after seeing one on here a while ago with a flat tank in the back, looked like a good set up and I sometimes need the fourth seat at the weekends. I would use this for day to day domestic and the smaller commercial stuff and maybe a trailer system with a bigger tank for the two man large jobs and gutter vac etc. Anyone out there do the same and can discuss?

I have a Movano on an 07 plate. I like it but it is not big enough!!!. It sits low on the axle (unlike my Transit) when laden.

I would never go for an open backed vehicle because anyone and everyone can see and get at anything that isn't bolted down.

I have a mitsi. L200 crew cab ( '07 ).  Using it now for the past  3years. It has an enclosed lockable cab / canopy on the back with tinted glass so secure enough. I carry a 350 Ltr. flat tank,  Di vessel pump & controller etc, 3 x WFP's, internal poles, buckets, hose reel, tools a lot more bits & bobs. On the roof I carry set of steps and a 25 ft. ladder.
This all does me for general window cleaning, gutter work / pvc cleans etc.
When I'm pressure washing I pull a 6 x 4 trailer - this has 2 x pressure washers, lances, hoses, drums etc etc.
Point is this type of vehicle suits the tasks very well and also has the benifit of the rear seats for dropping kiddies off to school / ball etc. Haven't been stuck yet!

Thanks for the replys guys. If I can work a way to get all I need in a combination of the pick up and trailer I think I will go that route.

I think my set up is like Squeek Clean.

yeah, my set up is similar to this L200, I carry the  3 WFPs in the back though ( 27', 18', 12' gxtels ), they are placed  on top of the tank at angles - the 27' pole needs to have the brush head / angle adapter ' closed in '  for rear glass window / door to shut properly if you know what I mean, but all works fine!
If there is a need for the 60' ( which, to be honest is rare enough, ) I  put this pole on the roof rack strapped to ladders etc. - no probs.
Will be getting rear and side cab glass sign written with logo etc. shortly & will put up pics. then.

I think you mean MPG I get just over 30, as for MPH the top is about 90 odd.

'bout same as Britishwill, less though ( c. 25 mpg ), when pulling trailer.
