Absolutely gutted!!
« on: October 20, 2010, 08:03:15 pm »
Whilst working on a block of flats this afternoon I managed somehow to drop my wallet containing £50 plus credit card, bank card, driving licence, gym card, family photo, fishing club card, etc :'(

I spent 20 minutes walking to and fro to see if I could see it but to no avail; some skank probably watched me drop it and pocketed the cash; the bit that ped me off the most was that they would have known I was still working, and my driving licence and family photo obviously make it  pretty clear as to the owner of the wallet but they still pocketed it >:(

I'd rather give it away than drop it somewhere; and then having to phone credit card companies and banks; loads of anwanted hassle ::)

Oh well, mustn't dwell on it, it's only money ::)

2 years running i went swimming in the sea and forgot that my wallet was in the back pocket of my trunks  and i lost it each time ,cards and all .

the first time a woman found it washed up the next day and posted it all back to me !

the second year  my little niece found my wallet floating in the sea but was unsure so let it go again. that was the year  200 quid was lost forever

This happened to me about 15 years ago had me birth certificate in there as well as my driving licence reported it to the police 5 years later found out my identity had been stolen and loan had been taken out so beware!

It was a nightmare trying to convince the companies it was not me.

talk about gutted

after our trip to kefalonia we had some euros left so rather than change them up i put them in an envelope in the safe and wrote on the front 250 euros , the idea was we could use them on our next trip !

well at the time we had some of her sons here living with us and in the safe they all had different envelopes in there as well

well to cut a long story short she decided to clear the safe out as the boys had started to do their own thing, and only got rid of the money as well it was'nt untill i went looking for it did i discover it was gone

now i leave it in my slush fund so as i know where it its  ;D

Reminds me of the time on the golf course

Playing partner had a drop after going into the burn but it was in the old days when you dropped over your shoulder, well he dropped it turned around and it had gone, disappeared just wasn't to be seen .He spent over ten minutes (i know) he looked in the long grass at the bottom of the slope he even got back into the burn to see if it had rolled back into the water nope not there he was mystified, started talking about frogs or birds having nicked his ball he just couldn't believe it

Then wait a minute why was i and the other player rolling about in laughter laughing so hard (on a golf course tut tut) we were crying? why because we saw where the ball went

IT WAS IN HIS HOOD lol lol lol god im laughing again now

sorry miscontractor about your loss it is annoying but god what a funny day we had the day the golfer lost his balls

that is gutting, i think the most gutting feeling in the world! i remember leaving a wallet in a phonebox for about 3 mins, legged it back and it was gone!

left my £500 htc on a bank tellers ledge, luckily i was still there when it rang and kept hold of it!

i have found a couple of wallets and a phone over the years, its nice to be able to get them back to their rightful owners, not like some scum bags.
