ok i know quite a few of you have hot but how did you go on with cold wfp during winter?im not on about the snow earlier on in the year but in general cold weather (but not sub zero!).


1.did you trad more ground floor work?

2.did you grit any pathways/doors and if you did what with?

3.did you blade more work due to water taking ages to dry on the windows?

4.do you wear gloves when poling?

just carried on as normal,  if it was that bad that the water was freezinng on the window or path, i just went home,  u start tradding now, some custy will want it after winter has finished

I did a few, last winter was colder than most winters I've had in 20 years

2.did you grit any pathways/doors and if you did what with?
No, If it was going to freeze and be dangerous I would not leave the paths wet

3.did you blade more work due to water taking ages to dry on the windows?
No, thats a backward step, it will dry eventualy
4.do you wear gloves when poling?
Yes, I had a few pairs of cheep cloth gloves that are rubber coated

Go and buy some bags of grit/salt from Wickes or similar now. It won't be there when the freeze comes.

Save yourself some money and  buy some dishwasher salt bags, i think there 1kg. save lugging a 25kg sack around! i still got some of mine left from last yr!
