trad top tip - roof racks
« on: October 17, 2010, 07:01:49 am »
attention all tradders especially you new guys starting out. do you need a new roof rack for your MONDEO ;) but the price is putting you off . simply drive down to wickes grab a wooden pallett from the car park and place it on the roof of the car. secure it by opening the car doors and threading rope through the car and through  the pallett, and tie securely . this is were you will have one up on your rivals , the rope in the car will hang slightly , simply use it as a washing line to hang your scrims and baseball caps on  ;) ;) ;)      a free roof rack and washing line in one . seriously thinking of patenting this what do you think                                              happy tradding

Call that a new idea? Lots by me do that. You need something on the roof to stop it scratching.Like everything in life you get out what you put in.I see one picks his little lad up from school every afternoon. The boys face burns with pride, that's what it's all about.

We have a local lad just started up round here with an inflatable roof rack, think you can buy them in argos or halfords...give him his due though it does the job for him.

just use a couple of towels,I saw a guy taking his ladder on the tram once hope he brought a ticket
I like the guys that use broken ladders and wore out feet at the bottom of the ladder must make working really exciting

I think it's a great idea Barry!

I am going to use a Euro pallet though, cos they are blue and will match the paintwork on my Mondeo :)

No they`re not. Euro ones are untreated and CHEP ones are usually blue  ;).

Euro pallets were originally blue but are now plain with a stamp. Chep pallets are a copy of the original euro pallet and are some times made of hardwood ;)

No because there are still many pallets around that are the original blue euro pallet.
