« on: September 27, 2010, 02:39:47 pm »
Hi probably a stupid question but is this machine just a larger version of the standard oreck orbiter?

Does anyone use this model for bonneting and agitation? and how do you find it?

A link to a supplier for bonnets etc for it would be really usefull.

Thanks

hi, i have it and it does a really good job. i tend to use it on rugs and medium to long pile carpets (low profile stuff i use a heavier and larger numatic npr1515 which is also very good) i also use the oreck for sanding my floorboards and the mrs uses it for cleaning all our hard flooring, its a great piece of kit
i am here to learn and appreciate any help!!

I have the XL480, switch is on the base unit, I think on newer versions the switch may be on or near the handle.

I use it for agitation. Got mine off Mike Haliday and he used the stiff orange brush but bent the bristles over to lay flatish. Does a good job and useful for stairs (risers as well) and the smaller areas/rooms.
As an agitator I think the Envirodri/Host/Flexi5 etc are better, but Oreck does a god job.

Get the accessories from Solutions Cornwall and others.

One on ebay now for £75 if someone wants to risk it.
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.
