crystal-clear I have been reading your posts and your troubles with gates etc,

I found the more working class estates of London far more with a northern attitude when I worked in London, ie just head out to the many Irish estates with smaller houses, mind you it was early 1990s when I left, just an idea thats all

come on they all like wined and dined at times she aint that bad hehe.

And she is northern! i might send her targeting northern family's so she can pay for her keep. cos we Londoners dont really care about each other , but up north its all about communitys people actually care about each other even if they dont like each other , they wouldnt like to see that person hard done by

God i miss the north and the bloody window cleaning mentality !

i miss my £0.50p customer ill trade a £20 posh house for that 1 window all day long!!!

nah I used to do a few windows further out round north wembley but I worked all over the place as a cable jointers mate, and it meant getting into houses and the rougher areas were always easier for a knock on the door and in and out job done and the irish were always friendliest and offered a cuppa etc although the old school londoners were good as well, we were paid on a % of work done and the electricity board guys would do the appointments we did not get in so we would do 20 jobs a day and the LEB would do about 3 and I never worked past lunch time and I did windows when I finished work round north wembley as I came from a family of window cleaners

A lot of the "working class" estates in London do not contain many people who actually work.

Your suggestions helped mate thanks alot.

There is no other way to put it really.

London is full of dirrerent areas what ever this may sound like it is true..

And window cleaning wise  IE: St johns wood, Richmond,Chelsea etc if you turn up to these 2 million pound places when you like they will slam the door in your face.(youd be lucky to just turn up and say if you in its front if you out its front and back 90% will not entertain you)

and im trying to keep away from this calling/giving time and dates crap.

So your suggestion stu is a good one Try different areas lower prices per house but easyer to manage.

As the people are more chilled out and down to earth like you and i;!

nice one mate, I think thats what I would do, the prices don't have to be north prices either just not silly money and I think you could do well, and I suppose saying working class estates is a bit wrong, maybe working middle class areas is what i meant but just avoid the top end of the market unless its really worth the hassle money wise,

its worth seeking out the "ethnic " types , a fairly big part of my round are the darkies, im not sure what race they are but they usually have a BMW  type car/shiny car  and wear some bling . these folk dont have a clue how to find a window cleaner  so are very loyal

by the same token AVOID  chinese and the Indian generation who arrived in the 1960s ,  i have had bad experience of that crowd . Recently i tried to get a NAIL-BAR  that i saw with the most filthy windows , but the boss was a young c**** and he said "not yet " !
