Hey guys long time no see.

Moved into london 4 months ago and have had no internet till now.

I am just about to buy a new van. Either the Transit connect. Proberly the T220/30 or wv Caddy 104ps.

I love the inside of the caddy, seems perfect, and its Vw which I like. The ford I prefer the exterior. Does anyone have any experience with these or know about any common problems.

I Have a 350ltr tank and a second worker starting with me. May add a smaller tank on top or something in the future ( re filling is fine for me half way through a day, if need be)

So like I say, just any help. Or Mpg figures? Thinking the caddy is the better option!!??

I have about 5k tops btw, so these are my choice as I want 57ish plate ideally.

mine cost me a new engine at 24k new gear box at 35k new clutch, new brakes new everything, runs nice now though, 5k later

A mate of mine works for Snap-on Diagnostics and he has a company VW Caddy TDi.
So I cannot comment on how much window cleaning gear you can get in one. But he has had it about 2 years and done about 85,000 miles, and as far as I know its been very reliable.
Oh and he has chipped it so it goes really well for a diesel.

Yes thats right it's over price. BT did the same the deal was two transit's for the price of one ford said on your bike so they went to vauxhall.

If you are going for two men then you need a bigger payload van. At least 800kg with a 500L tank and preferably a 1000kg payload with a 650L tank.

So a late "old shape" expert/dispatch/scudo with a 900kg payload would fit the bill.

I really am not a fan of the Scudo etc. The Caddy has a payload of 800kg. The are 724kg, + a allowance of 75 kilo for driver. Transit connect has a model thats 900.

I can re fill up as I work very local. The next option for me would be to try and get a Traffic, Vivaro or Primastar. And although I hear the gearbox is ok after 06, Im still worried as they seem to be problematic. Plus I will be looking at a 06 with about 100,000 on it.

Just a bit confused atm to be honest.
