anyone recommend a good stiar tool?
« on: August 20, 2010, 12:13:58 am »
As the title says, any links to a good stair tool?

Is the one in first picture any good? I have used one similar to the one in the second picture for years but kind fell apart! I bought the one you seen in the pic there but it was total rubbish at stair cleaning! The soloution line that sticks out is useless! the trigger is useless too!

How about the prochem one?? It doesn't have that silly solution line that bugs me! so nothing to kink. Does anyone know if the jet on that one is internal or has a splash guard?

The bottom one has a open spray jet but does a good job  bought the Westpack one about 2 months ago its a lot quicker the only thing is its fitted with the wrong size jets it comes with 2 9502 jets and leaves lines on the carpet from the over spray Matt fron Cleansmart said Westpack are changing the jets to 8002 but iam still waiting on mine from Cleansmart.

I have the Prochem one,the thing that bugs me about it is the connector sticking out the side, find it really annoying,as it`s a pain to get right into the edge,of the tread, have to swap hand and change the angle.

I have a westpack that was sold as an upholstery tool by Cleansmart.I find there is a lot of overspray with it.Can you elaborate on the different jets, are Cleansmart going to replace them or will they just send them to you?

this looks OK

 High Pressure, 800psi, brass valve
• Contained spray retains heat better and prevents the over spray caused by high pressure
• 4” wide head, 9” handle
• Welded on stainless steel valve hanger

I sold my one Mark, the QC sticking out always got in the way - I just use a clear plastic detailer tool now, lightweight and no wrist strain.

I find the swivel head 10 inch stairtool the best, great for awkward shaped bathroom carpets too, I think prochem do them now for about 220.

I used the prochem one for years and the went over to the westpack style one(12in) which was too awkward doing the risers and kites. Ok for commercial. Back to the prochem one now.

Where is it overspraying, because 9502 seem to be correct, otherwise you will lose 15 degrees from each jet.
