Nat, how can i get involved with this guild?.....i would like to help out in the admin side of things. :)

First there's the 6 figure buy-in,.. then the animal sacrifice & initiation rituals,.. Then you must learn that the first rule of the Guild is "Never talk about the Guild". :)

he wanted to join the guild not the roman catholic church ;D

Don't mean to sound like an uneducated prat but I have no knowledge of the guild.

Are they quite happy to promote any window cleaner without assessing the quality of their work or their work ethics and practises?

Also what would happen if a dissatisfied customer contacted the guild about poor work or even worse?

point is we are not a proffesional body (is that how you spell professional?)  or even a trade organisation....we are simply a guild or a club of window cleaners trying to promote safe working practices within the window cleaning trade, to have a customer contact us about a bad job is highly unlikely as we do not police the workmanship of our members, we simply provide them with information on best practice of being a proper BONAFIDA window cleaner, we then allow them to advertise the GUILD logo on their letterheads and other stationary , if there is evidence of flouting the guidelines of being a member of the guild then the culprit can expect termination of memebership....no more can be done, and we have the relevent disclaimers in place too to cover that situation, but i understand your concerns on this, however to implement more severe and legal penalties would mean becoming a government recognised TRADE body with all the clout that entails, however we both know that the 20 joining fee for the guild would probably be 5 times more if that were to happen. ;)
