any u wfpolers still use trad poles?
« on: August 10, 2010, 08:13:45 pm »
i have a couple of accounts where the flat roof extensions have large raised plate glass skylights that are almost horizontal.i tried with a wfp last month and the results were rubbish as the water runs very slowly off!so tommorrow ill go back to using my trusty trad pole on these windows!

i also have a couple of accounts where its virtually impossible to get the trolley near and i dont have a backpack so i use the trad pole on first floors as gravel/imprinted concrete makes it dangerous with a ladder on my own.

i suppose ive been thinking lately wfp is best but its not on some work!

one stand alone im doing tommorrow im reverting back to trad on as ill be much quicker! ;) ;D ;D

what about you guys?

quite recently i bought a LADDERMAT , and i cant praise this enough. its 4 pieces of spikey rubber mat that  you put below the ladder feet , these grip like nothing ive ever tried before .  not expensive about 15 quid all in  delivered to my door

i used these the other day on a front with big pieces of boulder gravel and excellento !! /  also on printed concrete like you mention Dazmond  these laddermats are worth every penny

bobby i have a rojak ladderstopper but the days of using it on imprinted concrete are in the past for me!! ;)

like i say its only a few jobs here and there.im finding wfp is just too much hassle and slower on some work when its easier just to whip the ladders off esp if you need them to get on the flat roof anyway on bigger properties that are stand alones and not in a row.
