Karl's Sunderland Website

Karl,

Back in the mists of time you asked about website prformance and unfortunately the question got lost in the long list of answers that followed before the thread was locked. So...

In my sites (in the Midlands), traffic is down overall although it is increasing to one site. I put that down to the site having risen quite a few places recently.

The alarming statistic is that the number of searches has dropped quite dramatically.

This is not a case of people clicking on my sites and not liking them, nor a case of people not clicking on my particular sites.

It is a drop in the number of people searching overall.

In contrast, I am involved with a friend's site that deals in traditional / building & restoration jobs (high end of the market... listed buildings etc). Searches and traffic are up. There seems to be a lot of money to spend in that market (relatively unaffected by the recession) compared to carpet cleaning.

I hope that helps. Garry

Good for you garry if you are into the web game malarkey, you can then follow the money in any industry. Unfortunately all that's beyond me, our washing machine even baffles me, and I just end up pressing 'D'  ;D
It's not expensive, you just can't afford it.
