its easy to say you have no problem with them until you start loosing work because they put in a quote that is silly and bringing our average hourly rate down. ready lost one gym to them. like ocs ect, the have no interest in the customer or cleaning windows, they are just paid workers regardless.not good for our industry at all in my opinion

Well I did qualify it regarding standard of service, quality of work etc.
Unfortunately some companies just don't care if the window cleaner brushes off the sills,  scrubs the framework when necessary, skips half the windows every other visit etc.  They just look at the price.
Personally, I offer better than that and it sounds like you do too.  I've found that giving the proper service does pay off in the longer term but it sometimes costs work on the way to getting there.
I bet you replace the lost work with better work within a year.  It may not be just one job but could be a number of smaller ones.

Yep, Duncan & the other dragons think it's ok for them to belittle & talk down to others but they, themselves won't tolerate it!  They might be rich but that isn't a measure of what kind of person they are. Hypocrites!

I agree with you, crash & burn! ;)

Why are people so against uk commercial cleaning!

When you say 'people' i'll guess you mean sole traders or small buisness who post here? Its relativeley easy to understand why many people do not like them, and its laws of economics. The same laws of economics that are preached in this book that every budding entrapanuer seems to want to get their hands on....How to think and grow rich.

The investment return by the dragons has to be repaid, in order to expand nationally UK Commercial cleaning can do a more 'competetive rate'. To operate a more competetive rate they have to operate 'efficiently'. 'efficiently' in all reality in this context means cheaper.
If you look at a scenario nationwide, instead of multiple sole traders operating profitable 'buisness' (for themselves) it becomes a scenario of fewer national operators running a profitable buisness, to the exclusion of local operators. An effect not dissimilar to a pyramid scheme, thats how economics works.
Anyone who has taken a relativeley low paid job with them will be gratefull for the employment and any relatively profitable operator who has been displaced by them will be scornfull of them.
 Hope that helps your understanding.
