tds problems
« on: August 09, 2010, 08:55:56 am »
Im di only and my bag of resin usually does 2 fills which last around 4 weeks per fill now recently the fills havent even lasted 2 weeks.

iv checked all the things that brodex have told me could cause this problem but there are no faults, could this be a bad bag of resin????

im far from an expert mate but either bad gone off resin or have you changed brand? Have you checked tap water for change in tds could be higher hence use more resin

my tds is only 35 im in manchester

thats enough for di only but ronnie uses alot and maybe his tds is slightly higher...

take a long time to recoup costs of a static but i suppose the lack of hassle is true

mine varies between 35-70 tds out of my tap  and use about 1000-1200L a week and i have a monster 25L DI and im hoping its gonna last 6 months before needing changing.

ronnie its probably a combination of poor resin/higher tds from tap.ive heard that you should shake the DI when it starts to creep up and itll go back to ooo for a week or so.

what resin do you use and is it ordered from brodex?try the tulsion resin from pure freedom.ive heard its top quality and lasts longer.

The tds out of the tap in the North West has gone up, due to low water levels (I know, I know).
An increase from 35 to 70 is a big jump.
