Has anyone had any success with this? I have Hall, Stairs, Landing, Bedroom and Lounge to clean on Monday, all with a fair amount of wallpaper paste spread about from a very naughty decorator.

Prochem recommendation for water based glue goes as follows: -

"Glue (Water-based):   Apply Neutral Pro-Spotter  and blot or apply Stain Pro and blot. Rinse thoroughly with Fibre & Fabric Rinse and blot until dry".

Opinions / Advice from anyone with experience of this welcome, otherwise I'll be following Prochem's guide.

Seems a bit OTT to me but who am I to disagree with Prochem.
Wall paper paste will soften with warm water and time, in just the same way as it will release from your walls.
Don't think I need to say anymore.

Hi Neil, thanks for my sole reply on this one. I guess it's either rare or never causes any problems.

My worry was just how gooey this stuff gets when rehydrated.

Job's on tomorrow morning so fingers crossed it's any easy fix.

Newspaper paste is cellulose  which will soften with any detergent.

Just clean it as you would for normal soiling, prespray, leave 15 minutes dwell while setting up, heat water up if using porty or fire up TM and clean it.
