Did a house today....
« on: July 23, 2010, 07:25:45 pm »

...trad.

Involved a lot of sitting on window ledges on the 2nd floor because there was absolutely no way to access by ladder.

I'm never happy sitting on window sills and thought WFP might be a solution...however (and you'd need to be there to appreciate) even a pole wouldn't be able to access most of these windows.

So what do you WFP guys do in this sort of situation? Or doesn't that situation arise because you only take on houses that lend themselves to the Pole?

I would have offered the service but excluded certain windows.
Alternatively, maybe one of those Unger flexi goosenecks things might have done it? (I wasn't there so no way of knowing).

You're starting to think about wfp aren't you don't do it simon once you've joined the dark side of the force theres no going back  ;D ;D

OK you asked a question  ::) Without looking at the Job its hard to say what we would do I have a job that cannot be done with trad or wfp as you cannot get the angle. However if you use a Ladder and I dont say that often you can get the angle needed so sometimes you have to use both tools to get the job done  ;)

You can do more houses with a wfp than you can do trad. Angles and difficult windows over conservatories etc
I would not take the house if it was going to be hard. Very choosy me. Anyway you just end up hating the job.

I'm off on holiday for a week. When I get back I might look into a backpack.

Weve all done it, but IF you had fallen, how many windows would you clean tomorrow?
Better to leave them in my opinion nowadays.
