Some of us can protect low profile office carpet for as little as 10p/m but, for a large commercial job, would you still charge the customer a rate per m (if so choose from the above), build it into a day rate plus materials or simply have a seperate figure in mind for the protection job?
I know some would say it simply comes down to the profit we each desire but I am just interested to see what others would do with this scenario to see what would seem reasonable. Reason being, I have already protected 300m2 of office carpet and the customer is yet to be told the price

They specificially asked for it, first commercial protection job ive done I think. Some of the carpet was nylon and some was polyprop. I told them to be aware of mixed results but they said go ahead anyway. I did test the polyprop afterwards and although it didn't bead on the surface, its did absorb out better.

Maybe I should have just asked what would you have charged for 300m2 office carpet around desks for HWE & protection?
