Van smash,,,whoosh
« on: July 18, 2010, 03:44:43 pm »
I got out of my van ,, the seat belt was trapped in the door , a big truck went past  and the wind flicked it open , £700 excess , so got a new door and mirror from scrappy.

10 points to Shaun if he can name the road.

I put the tape on because I did not want to drive from Sheffield to Bournemouth on the back of a recovery truck.  So I taped the mirror on and used a ratchet strap to hold the door closed, and completed my journey

All fixed now ,, I fitted the new door, with a good colour match too! Will need a wing too as it has a dent in it.

Sheffield to Bournemouth with the door held shut with a rachet strap....OMG the old bill would have loved ou if they had stopped you.  Plus i bet you had a right draft coming in the van hehehe.

Saw a few coppers , had no problem though, luckily it was quite  warm so draft was ok, a few people pointed and laughed on the way !
