Portable wfp recommendations please...
« on: July 14, 2010, 07:17:51 pm »
Hello again,

It’s been a while since I’ve posted to the forums as we’ve been mad busy. What with learning our new trade, canvassing, designing parish magazine adverts, leaflet dropping, I haven’t had a minute spare. Phew! That’s a good thing right? :D

Business has been going for 3 months now and everything is going well. We’re getting past the stage of collapsing from exhaustion when we get in at the end of the day and we’re becoming a little more proficient with our squeegees. We’re ready to order a back pack water fed pole system and I’m looking to you guys for help please.

We’re cleaning residential properties at the moment using trad. Because there are 2 of us, and we don’t have enough money for a 2 man system or a van, we intend to use the wfp for upstairs cleans only. We currently work from our small hatch back car and we have about a grand to spend. I have no interest in any type of DIY system as I’d rather spend the time door knocking rather than building a pole, etc. So we’re really looking at an off the shelf system ideally.

I know my water pressure is fine (>65psi) and I also know I need an RO unit as my tds reading is just over 100. I’ve been looking at http://www.cleaningspot.co.uk/acatalog/Complete_trolley_system.html which looks ideal but I have no idea what I need to order. I’ve read all over these forums recommendations not to skimp on poles and that jets are better than fans but I’m completely clueless what I actually need to order and would really appreciate help from anyone that’s been in this position.

I really need to order a system quickly as we’re currently skipping some windows and we’re explaining to customers the “water fed pole system is coming but we want to be sure your windows and frames are as clean as they can be first”.

I’m really looking forward to reading your comments,

Kind regards,

Duncan
