Blacksheep

Several companies run courses but none I know of in Wales.

The NCCA are in Leicester ,Alltec are in Herts and Prochem are in South London.

Also Ashbys in Kent.

Cheers,

Doug

just thought id leave some feedback on the extracta course for any1 who might be interested, as i have just attended it, i think its a must to get some sort of training as a newcomer as there was a lot covered and the guy running it (paul) seemed to know his stuff it lasted around 7 hours with just myself and four others it was basicaly just us picking his brains and asking questions, and him warning us of potential mistakes i did however think it was a lot to take in on one day and felt we needed more time i notice some other courses last a bit longer and feel that might be a better option to take a 2day course.

hope this provides some insight for any1 looking to attend

I'd like to thank Red Carpet for leaving feed-back on Extracta course ( he said he would, and he did! )
Did you buy the manual, and is it any good? Seems a bit expensive at #45.00!

This thread should be perhaps re titled to Course in gateshead!

It is an excellent course and with free accommodation at a good hotel thrown in good value.

I would advise to get the manual first, read it  and then go on the course, this will give you so much ammunition to ask questions, and will allow you to be familiar with some of the terms used within the industry.

If you buy the manual  £70, you get money off the course, which brings it to the price martin quotes.

It is a good manual with some business and marketing advice included.

I would also advise that you take up Gavins very kind and generous offer, again before going on the course.  Same reason as above - if you know a little it gives you insight into what to ask.

Good luck
john

yeah id agree with john get the manual first as it will help i did, but you have to appreciate the course and the manual are just peoples views based on there experience and i did find a lot of the stuff covered they contradicted each other, you have to just take in as much as you can i am however gonna try and attend another course myself as it is a lot to take in for a novice
