« on: June 08, 2010, 02:47:46 am »
what is the difference in all these wagtail flippers? to my untrained eye they are all about the same only different colours? I have the standard one without the applicator and thought i might try a flipper but cannot decide on which one  ???  http://www.windowcleaningwarehouse.co.uk/shop/wagtail/view-all-products.html

Whirlwind. It's got the best pad and is a one pass tool. The flipper has a dreadful pad and is not a one pass tool. Simples.

 Chopsie,
If you have the Wagtail squeegee then just attach a pad to it to make a flipper.
That`s all the flipper is, the squeegee with a pad clipped on the bottom of the channel; and not very well either.
But I could be wrong or they could have improved.

And i thought at first theres no way i could get use to it after about an hour of using it i was flying along. I think its a great tool good scrubbing pad too. I couldnt go back to the old way now. Ive just orderd the 14'' one . Wag tail whirl wind all the way.

have you bent the ends towards the rubber ie facing the window, or have you bent them in to much? try easing them back a touch

as above dont bend the end too much. i was sure it made no diffrence at first, but it surely does ,theres less /no detailing needed if you dog-ear it the Wagga way .  THose videos of Waggas are worth their weight in GOLD !

well ordered a 14" whirlwind. will see how i get on. Have decided to trad downstairs on most jobs so am hoping this will be a good tool for most windows. use it in combination with either a spray bottle or old fairy/W5 bottle instead of a bucket. WFP upstairs. AND NOT BLOODY DOG EARING IT   >:( ::) (for now anyway  :P )

Hi i got my wagtail whirlwind last wednesday and i went for the 14 inch and i have got on with it quiet well.

And it does make a difference and i used it on the shops less water left at bottom of cills so nothing or not alot to wipe off.

Saving time, and i will be getting the large size too.

Thanks

The Whirlwind is a great tool.

I don't bother dog-earing anymore.  When you go down the left side of the window have the squeegee tilted like this   /
.....all the way down and when you go down the right side tilted like like this   \
.....all the way down. I find it leaves less detailing because you are using the corner of the rubber.

For some of the bigger windows I do the top and sides like this and then you can wagg down the middle really quick with no worries.
