Cleaning gutters
« on: June 08, 2010, 04:19:48 pm »
This is not an area I was going to expand into, but have now had a couple of enquiries. looking on the web, companies charge a variety of prices.

I will be a WFP window cleaner - so I am not looking to clamber up ladders to clean gutters!

I have offered to clean the outside of gutters for £30 for a typical 3 bed semi - but some customers are wanting the inside cleaned as well.

looking at various feet on the floor cleaners - these appear to range from about £500 - £5000 depending on the system

So I need to know from those that actually clean out the gutters - how much they would charge for a typical 3 bed semi and whether this is from the ground or from a ladder.

Once I have a feel what is charged - I can then decide if its worth the investment

We have an Omnivac and it is excellent an average 3 bed house with really full gutters takes around 20 mins front and back and about 10 mins for pack/unpack

the gutters are pretty well spotless and totally free of crud when done

I always use ladders.
Like some others have said it doesnt make a mess. I have a good pressure washer but ladders just makes more sence to me, otherwise you're just moving the dirt around the area, wasting time.

I use a scoop to one point so I only climb up once.I pressure the outer and I charge 5 quid a metre so its i metre between each saddle holding the gutter to the facia board.if there is 10 on the facia then its 50 pound people pay this no probs.
