Hi
Do you need help with pricing up the job? If yes, you need to find out how much the cherry picker is going to cost and how long you think it will take you. I would say two men about a good morning if they know what they are doing, one poling etc and one in the cherry picker.

Regarding cherry pickers, you will need to know the height of the building, plus the distance from the building where the machine needs to Park, then you will want something that can reach a good few windows at a time without moving the lorry/van too many times. You would be better off contacting somebody who hires out the equipment to take a look as they usually don't charge for surveying. I would think a 34m bronto from Skylift or similar would do the job nicely.

Your time cost + Cherry picker cost

The pic ive put up is the one over the road but ive just recieved the following pic from them,
The cherry picker is already on site so no need for hire, The building is 90ft high so I recon the top 3 floors will need to be done via cherry picker....

you can get cherry pickers to reach that high, no need for a lorry mount, for example...... http://www.universalplatforms.co.uk/hire/telescopic-booms.cfm

Hi
If they are supplying the cherry picker, and you are doing the job for the builder. Make sure you can use it when you need it. As from my past experience, they will have one on site, but everybody else will be using it also.

Thats what i was gonna say

you will get better results

Wfp at that height is never as good as by hand plus hose is in a busy place etc

Is it a builders clean??? In which case wfp will be useless anyway and you will be in for some fun, they are hard work and very hard to price right... As a rule though i reckon you want to at least double whatever price you would come up with as a maintenance clean .... Are you doing it alone?

Sorry for all questions but they all make difference to the price.. If you are a sole trader id get some lads local to quote you a day rate and use that as you base, just make some money on top for overseeing it, and doing some yourself,

looks a nice job hope you get it

The story of me getting it goes like this...

One of the managers of the building company suggested to his wife that she gets into builders cleans, she has now set up a cleaning business i.e home cleaning, ironing etc, she does my mums ironing now and we got chatting one day and she asked if I was interested in doing this job, due to being too busy I declined so she tried a few other companys but not much joy (her decision) She then asked me to reconsider my decision, I told her I dont like working for building companys but she said she and her team will do the builders clean on it from the inside  ??? but want me to maintain it, so if its worth my while ill take it on as I can do it any day/time I want.....also got a few people I can call on if needs be  ;)
