Up until a few years back if a custy paid me in cash, I had a habit of just stuffing it in my pocket next to my wallet. That was untill within a week of each other, I lost £80 one day then £50. The second time I pulled up outside a shop as school kids were passing. I pulled out my wallet as I went to the shop. Once inside I realise that the £50 wasn't in my pocket. I rushed back outside, but there was no sign of it. Some dishonest schoolkid struck lucky. Cash goes straight in my wallet ever since.

I always separate my " ill gotten "between various pockets as the same thing has happened more than once. Pulled out by little card holder a few minutes ago and lo and behold £40 drops to the floor. Fortunately  before I left the house.

Do check with the local " nick " there ARE still some honest people around.
