I would try Red Rx but doubt youm will have 100% success, is it a wool carpet mate?

Haven't seen it yet Mark, the client says the carpet is a wool blend.

Fawn colour and the dye is stained purple - doesn't sound too promising but I said I would get back to her.

Sadly the answer is no.
Two clues here.....permanent and dye.
Granted it might be called semi permanent but that's because it doesn't penetrate into the hair as much as fully permanent, so some of it grows out and some of it washes out after 12 washes.
Under protest I will attempt these jobs more to prove that I was right than anything else. Can't say I've tried bleaching agents but it might be worth a go having clarified with customer.

Seriously I have had people say I've had an accident with Permanent hair dye is there anything you can do? Just what do they expect when it is permanent on hair :o

I wondered whether sodium met would have any effect.

Put it this way you've nothing to lose and neither has the customer.

Try red RX and steam it with an iron through a terry towel. If that doesnt work try sodiuim met, instead same method. Do it gradually, dry between each attempt, and charge accordingly! Worked for me last time, but funilly enough I couldn't get a red wine stain out of the same carpet 6 months later - it was a whole bottle though-  what a waste!

Test thoroughly on inconspicuous area first, prequalify with client IN WRITING, and dont expect it to work. In my experience, if you think it will work it wont, if you think it wont, it will!
