11 litre Resin Cannister Connection
« on: May 16, 2010, 10:12:22 am »
Having posted on trouble with rising TDS, members have advised me to get an 11 litre resin cannister. Having found a couple on sites, they all have input/output male hozelock valves at the top, can anyone point me in the right direction for a fitting which will connect this to standard 1/4" RO hose from the membranes.

I've found male / 1/4"  http://www.cleaningspot.co.uk/acatalog/200_GPD_RO_Systems_and_spare_parts.html

but obviously there is another way of connecting these vessels to standard ro hose

Thanks

If Carlsberg made window cleaners....I'd be one of them....lol

My RO is 5 miles away but I will be going there tomorrow so will have a closer look then.  Although I installed it recently, I only moved it in blocks from a previous location rather than assembling from scratch.  I'm pretty sure that the top of my DI vessels have JG  fittings (in and out) for the JG 3/8" tubing rather than the 1/4".
I think it is possible to get 3/8" to 1/4" JG adaptors.
If it's any help to you, I think Omnipole would supply the vessel with the relevant fittings already attached.  If you go that route make sure you get a bit more tubing if you need it.

I've had a look around.
Try the links on this page maybe?
It's full of JG (John Guest) stuff

Am I right in thinking the internal thread connections on an 11 litre cannister are 3/4", so ideally could get 3/4" to 3/4" adapter and then just screw on a 3/4" to 1/4" john guest tap adapter.

All fittings in all possible permutations are available. Speak to cleaning spot, cleantech, varitech, gardeners or whoever and explain what you need.
