Not too many perks to the job, BUT....
« on: May 06, 2010, 04:45:32 pm »

...here's one.

Circa May 2008.

Me: "Hello Mrs Smith you're due a clean can I come round tomorrow?"
Mrs S : "Actually Simon they're ok for now can I call you?"
Me: "Sure no problem"

6th May 2010

Mrs S: "Hello Simon can you come round shortly and clean my windows?"
Me: "No I'm far too busy with regular work, you need to use somebody else."
Mrs S: "Can you recommend someone?"
Me: "No not really I quite like my fellow window cleaners."

Any w/c who covers London SW15 wanting to earn £15 bi-annually please email me....

....don't all rush at once!  ;D

Well done, Simon, you were polite, but you got your message across with some humour too.

I've had similar happen to me, but this was a domestic job which I was charging £100 for.  When I refused to be her window cleaner she went looking for another and found Ian Giles and asked him for a quote.  Ian phoned me before quoting, and I told him what I charged her before and Ian bumped the price up by about 20%  ;D.  And hopefully she has been a nicer customer to him.
