BAD DOG
« on: April 08, 2010, 10:22:39 pm »
Think i just need to get this off my chest  ;D

was canvassing today. 3 linked houses in the countryside.

middle house, dog started barking like crazy in the garden.

Went to enter the first houses garden. The dog jumped, well scrambled, over the fence. Starting running back and forward at me, teeth bared, hackles up.

The lady from the middle house runs out shouting "no, bad dog, bad dog"

The dog actually put a bit of fear into me and it was very close to getting itself seriously hurt, you may laugh at that thought, but I have handled large wild deer [before the hunting act 2004] and this dog was just a fraction of the size.

Im more ped off at the owner to be honest. If my dog acted like that towards another person, it would be getting a one way ticket.

RANT OVER

my mate got a ali/german shepard dog,  thinks its great guard dog,  if any one is in the same room as the dog when it is eating it growls and goes for them,  if they put any shopping on the floor, (asda etc)  it rips open the bags and eats all the food,  one of his kids open the cage, the dog was in once and it went to drag them down   like a police dog,  and his attitude is if the dog bites the kids then they must of being doing something wrong

owners are worse than dogs sometimes

if the lass was even 5 seconds later, then ad of killed or seriously injured that dog.

shame, as its not the dogs fault that it hasnt been socialized correctly.

if it was my dog then id be thinking :

"i stopped it this time. But what will happen NEXT TIME"

idiots shouldnt have large dogs that they cannot TRAIN CORRECTLY

My misses says you shouldn't have a dog with a mouth bigger than your own. Sounds about right,
dont look who's to blame, look how to fix it. anon

I've had similar happen.  I just walk away never to return.  I greatly dislike situations where dogs are put further up the hierachy than me.

i have a water spray bottle on my belt. a  few times recently dogs have challenged me and a well aimed jet -blast of soapy water spray totally wins the game !

I use to do some road running. the dogs would come out and want to bite me.There was one that would make a point of chasing me down the road so I bought a water pistal and filled it with vinegar that stoped his charging.

I had one ran across the street and jumped up to bite me as I stood on my ladder on a terrace house.  The dog lunged at my leg, I lifted my foot and stamped down as hard as I could, on the top of the dogs skull.  The force of the kick knocked its head down and smashed its jaw on the rung below.  Dog ran off howling and I had a big grin on my face for the rest of the day.
