All,

Not got either of the above, but, would you take a second hand Host or a brand new Duo??

The host is easily the best. I owe a sedo, can't afford a new host and finding a 2nd hand one is rare. Go for the Host

There is a duplex machine on ebay at the moment that looks quite nice, may be worth a look??

I think the HOST is better but usually use the Duo because it's much easier the carry from the van to the area I'm cleaning (and it takes up less space in my Escort van!). If you have neither and a limited cashpot then get the Duo - in most jobs it'll be fine. If you are thinking of adding dry extraction to your services and can afford to buy both then use the HOST when the Duo isn't man enough.

I use the Envirodri - Duo is a toy in comparison. Also the comprehensive range of brushes for the Envirodri make it a superb tool.

I use the Envirodri - too. Gold brushes for delicate carpets white brushes for short pile. I was going to get a Duo but after a demo on both machines by Nick from solutions I went for the Envirodri best investment I have made for a while.

Used a Duo but found it was like a Toy, so gone back to 18" Long Handled Carpet Brush with Black Bristles, beauty about this piece of equipment is, low priced, can be used on all types of carpets using same Bristles, also you can apply whatever amount of Pressure the job wants!!

Plus maintainance is inexpensive and cleaning is very simple, letting your client see you using it also shows them that you are putting plenty hard work into cleaning their carpets without using their electricity!!

Another PLUS about owning this piece of equipment is that you can also use it to dress the carpet with after cleaning!!
I get better looking each day!!
