Barrels, IBCs, water butts, containers etc
« on: March 31, 2010, 04:12:50 pm »
I took a drive down to this place today

http://www.smithsofthedean.co.uk/New%20Barrels.htm

and bought 2 barrels for an ongoing project at home but felt it was worth mentioning on here regarding the stock they hold and prices.

They got some luverlee barrels there  ;D  ;D I nearly fell in love with a few of them.

Anyway, I figured that for 55 squid 2 x 200 litre upright water butts fitted into a van wasnt a bad price.

They have IBCs, the 640 litres were 75 squid, they also do 1000 litre IBCs as well.

Lots of stock, pipe work, fittings and transfer pumps. etc.

In the Forest of Dean.

Unfortunately there carrier charges are steep.

To send a 200 litre and a 120 litre butt to me was over 100 squid which is why I took a drive down there.

Anyway might come in handy if anyone is interested.

'Tis true! (Near where Tosh and Squeaky and Ian Giles live) Also known as the "borders triangle" between Monmouth, Gloucester and Chepstow. Like a scene out of "Deliverance"  :o ;D

You know what Malc, I felt like I had crossed a line at some point very close to the end of the journey, it was odd. Strange place. Sure I saw people with nothing better to do all day than watch for strangers.

The forest ws lovely, interesting looking pit which did tours, not sure anyone came out alive, but looked fun.

were they like this?
