When I wash my car or van I connect up the garden hose (tap water tds 350) to my wfp hose and pole for the first scrub and rinse and then use pure for the last rinse.
No problems. Just avoid putting soap in.
Modified to add:
Wash the brush under a tap or in a bucket of tap water to get rid of the soap then empty the bucket and put the brush back in and let it submerge itself with pure then agitate it and bob's yer uncle!

i often do a warehouse with just tap water
i fill the tank with waste water from my RO and do the clean
then i just refill with pure water after the job
what residue is left is so diluted with pure water it doesnt even rise on the TDS meter
