Beware STOLEN ITEMS
« on: March 15, 2010, 03:45:44 pm »
Hi All,

We have become one of the statistics of this Great Britain...
I left my Garage side door open while i was back and forth tending to a fault on my van, because of time i forgot to lock it back up,and while there is a locked gate between the outside and my side door some slimmey bas***d came in and stole one of my extractors pipes and an easy glide wand plus a cordless power drill and a phone.
I didnt realise till late last night that we had been robbed so have spent all morning checkin whats missing, and calling police and my insurence.
So if your offered a woodbridge power pak on the cheap do let me know 02476 263630

As if that wasnt bad enough ive just found out I may be under insured,
After speaking to my insurence it seems im only insured for the cost of what my kit cost me and not for replacement value.
So plz keep an eye and ear out for any crap hat selling an extractor on the cheap and re-evaluate and check your insurance covers everything.

Regards Marc

Scum bags..... I bet they'll be sold for just for enough money to buy a hit....!

My young brother had his motor cross Kawasaki nicked in Workington a few weeks ago by druggies. We got it back after getting my mental mate, brother in law and 2 beef hearts to do some door to door enquiries.... ;D The little smack heads soon squealed on each other and led them right to a dealers house in Whitehaven, who had the bike sat in his living room as part payment for drugs!

Who needs Coppers ???

Had my Transit van broke into years ago. They took out the glass from the rear doors and got in through that window. They stole my tool box containg hundreds of pounds worth of spanners n stuff.  Because there was a bulk head between the cab and the back of the van the sensors did not pick up anything coz the door was not opened and no movement was sensed due to bulk head in way.  I had only had the alarm fitted 3 weeks before this happened.  I contacted the alarm fitter and he came out and fitted sensors to the rear of the van so it was covered for movenent all round.  I also placed 9mm bord on the inside of the glass fixed with loads of self tapping screws to prevent it happening again.

A few months ago I went to the back of the van to check everything was in order before I set off in the morning (as you do) only to realise that my porty, hoses, wand, vac and many accessories were absent! I sat down on the inside step of my van just taking in what had just happened when I looked over my shoulder after the other half lets off a yelp, only to see all my kit, (everything apart from the vac) just sitting there, just at the entrance to a neighbors driveway, 5-6 doors down! Dumbasses obviously didn't think that their intended cargo may just be too big for a car!

Talk about lucky! needless to say, everything is carted indoors now every night under lock & key & heavy surveillance! ;D

Just shows we have to be on our toes at anytime.

One of the reasons i got a medium size van so it will go in my garage and away from thieves so least its a bit more security.

Trouble is when the get caught they will get a small punishment ::)

Marc hope you get some news abouut your gear mate soon..

Never leave my gear in overnight apart from sprayers and chemicals.
Porty, hoses, wand and hand tools go in locked garage overnight.
In fact they've been in house since Xmas because of the frosty weather.

thats the best part guys, the garage is sealed from outside the only entrance is from inside of garden, so these undescribables actually climbed a 6ft fence broke in my garage then happily unbolted 2 bolts and a yale lock to open my gate and waltz out.
nowt man nor beast could have done other than have been then to stop em and then id prolly have either been stabbed or arrested 4 killing the barstewards.
The only saving grace is the unit they took is set aside for sewage clearances, my carpet cleaning units was in the back of my van.
