Just a friendly warning....
« on: March 10, 2010, 06:18:41 pm »
Had a customer have a word with me today about some damage i have done to her conservatory.
This customer is a new one...5 cleans now,but i have been pulling my microbore out of the van around the house and it has been rubbing on the corner edge of the conservatory causing an indent where the hose has been pulled up against the plastic.
In all fairness i held my hands up to the fact that it was obvious that i had caused the damage, but the lady said that it wasn't a problem and for me not to worry.Thank god for that....
Now i have never known this to happen to me on my round at other properties, and with years of experiance i never even gave it a thought....
Thought i would share my stupidity with you all hopefully to make you all aware of the possibilities. :-[

Done it to one of mine a year ago tugging my microbore around a UPVC mullion post on the corner of a conny and left a slight indentation. I kept schtum and nothings been said but I'm much more careful now.
It's a game of three halves!

Go to a hardware shop and make a scuff protector out of a short length of Up gutter and place it in the a fending spot and try to let her see it so she sees you have tried and listened to her gripe.Custies are always empressed when you respond.

This is really a one off situation for me of which i thought i would share just in case it was helpfull to others.I use up to 100 meters of microbore daily and on this particular occassion the last part of the pull was where the corner of the conservatory was,so unfortunatley it got marked (rather gouged.. :'()...but as i said the lady was quite understanding and i also have to admit that i have offered to jet wash her patio down this weekend as a goodwill gesture (i try to keep my income happy)...
Anway it wont happen again but if the lesson learnt helps others then i will be happy.

By the way if you see how much gear i carry you would understand about not carrying backpacks/trollies..... :)

Yeah, you wouldn't notice them on the dirty UPVC!

Lmao....i was trad for many years and went over to wfp for business reasons...ie working safer, working more efficiently, taking on a lot more customers, giving more options to customers, gaining better commercial business, having a higher income....etc etc etc....
Sorry.......nothing wrong with trad, but i do prefer wfp for the reasons stated above. ;)

Yes but that is not what an average wc will achieve.
By quoting figures like that it could appear that you are bullpooping...even though you are probably not....
It is inevitable that once fully changed over to wfp your daily cleans will increase as wfp overall is faster than trad, however you could still turnover less by doing more,so the argument falls short, and with ott figures quoted it does not help anyone....

ww those figures quoted r true, if u ave read other things ive put up, u will b
more than aware that ive got back problems. & i couldnt do a full day even if i wanted 2 :(
my point was... n maybe i didnt put it across v well 4 that im sorry :) but at the end of the day u can do just as much with a trolley or backpack system as u can with a van mount. that is all down 2the size of ur van. when ur out of water ur out of water.
