I imagine you can use a solvent based protector such as:

but I would check with Alltec first.

Dont use a solvent protector on these , most have latex type foam backng which will be ruined with the solvent.
I would recommend a waterbased product that is ready to use and has a coverage of around 20sq m per ltr lightly sprayed , even if you do 2 applications. Protect Nano from Solutions would do the trick.

I wouldn't bother with the job.

After 6 months they'll be coming back to you asking why your magic forcefield hasn't stopped their stupid choice of carpet from looking like a dog's dinner. (OK I'm being slightly dramatic but you get the drift ;) )

Unless these are the type of customers who walk round with plastic bags over their shoes and don't let the kids in the house unless they've been sterilised first, I'd be the one walking.....

Having spoken to Alltec, their opinion (although slightly re-worded) was along the lines of what Jim said.
