With any connect I think it's max 400 litre.

Not with relation to size but the weight.

Check with pure freedom, they will know.
I have 350 litre in mine, STD connect

Mr B
If in doubt.....Leave it out !!

having a 500 ltr tank in a connect is stupid!,

500 ltrs weights in at 500 kgs approx depending on temperature. dependeing on frame type its normally another 40-90kgs, add a di vessel, pump battery, hose's and fitting, hose reels, waterfed poles, vehicle fuel and driver.

this will push the weight well over the required payload and should you get stopped for any reason you could get weight tested - nice fine and penalty points as its dangerous driving.

350-400 max

900 kg in most lwb 230 connects so weight wise it should not be a problem

Welcome to the forum slk. That was a very forthright first post, which if it were accurate is fair enough if a little impolite. I believe the payload for the connect is 825kg/900kg depending on the model.

But even at the bottom end, for a single operator a 500L tank plus associated window cleaning stuff will not exceed 650kg in weight. And then the driver adds about 75kg and you are at 725kg.

So you've still got 100kg to play with.

So why not? Especially if it is installed safely.

Starting on this forum with a comment like that is stupid pal, You saying Pure freedom would fit a tank knowing that its over the recommended payload? I know this not to be the case as we discussed our requirements fully to them prior to installation and was assured that 500l is (Although at the top end weight wise) perfectly fine for a transit connect swb. Get your facts right before you post on ere...........Pleb!!!!
