Van tyre pressure
« on: March 09, 2010, 06:00:21 pm »
Hi guys

My VW Transporter van goes back in after the lease and I have to have the tyres pumped up to their original pressure. Problem is I can not make head nor tail of the grid. I just need to know what pressure my front and back tyres need to be.

TIA

John

Get your tyre size right

Each tyre size has 2 lines
upper is fully loaded van
lower is lightly laden van

right hand column - front axle, then rear axle

So, if you got 215/65 tyres
pressure fully laden front axle 54lbs/in2, rear axle 55lbs/in2
pressure lightly laden front axle 46lb/in2, rear axle 42lb/in2

John think they will do it at a tyre center as i had mine done there with the extra weight on my van :)

Hi Clinton

Going to hire purchase a fiat fiorino. Bit of a step down from my transporter I know but ill be saving £30 a month and I get to keep it after 5 years. Better deal all round. Gonna get it sign written when it comes at the end of the month. I only got the transporter for the prowler but that didn't last long!

Can anyone up my way recommend a good sign writer?
