Local authority cut backs
« on: March 05, 2010, 07:29:17 am »
Do you do work for the local authorities? What effect due you think these cuts are going to impact on window cleaning?
I'm nor scare mongering, just thinking that those that are highly dependant on this type of work, may need to look for work in other areas of window cleaning.

all they will do is cut back to every 6 months or so,  i was speaking to a wc yesterday and old guy, who was doing the local halfords,  told me he use to do these every 2 weeks and now its once every 3 months

he also told me of a restuarant he use to do, he got undercut by £10,  he use to charge £15 quid, this new bloke charges a £5,

i think a lot of wc will cut back on staff and/or try and do more domestic

I guess that's what will happen Daz, they will cut back on frequency of cleaning.
Some of the commercial only guys will have to start doing domestics.

I have found we get more work, with cut backs they will look for outside companies because they - will not have insurance, holiday pay, vehicle, transport fees to pay  ;D ;D ;D
