Bloody battery went dead, so had to pop home to grab a spare. Always happens when you have a busy day and far away.

New battery in, time to go back AGAIN !!

Try charging it overnight if its a leisure/caravan battery. They need slow long charging periods of time....

Make sure you use ring connectors on the + _ terminals, sorry that plus/minus terminals, and charge them each night if your'e using them all day.

Leisure batteries are not designed to be totally drained, I take my battery out of the van every night and place it on charge. my leisure battery cannot be charged on a charger higher than 4 amps per hour. If I did this would seriously screw up the battery.

I used to have loads of problems with batteries, I got so sick of messing about with them I fitted a relay to each van,
What a great piece of kit!
I don’t even think about the battery from one month to the next now.

Got 3 Batterys, 1 leisure and 2 car.

Car batterys only seem to last just over a day, but one is knackered I think as it only lasted 4 jobs.

Going to have to buy a decent charger optimiser thing I think

i found a 12v cigarette lighter plug and lead (in a bin) on rare occasions, if i run out of power, i just run the pump off that.  ;)
if it is dirty it is fair game

I've just invested in one of these as I was going through 110 amp hour leisure batteries in about 6 months.

Has a higher amp output but only time will tell.

Used to have the same problem. Installed a digiflow from pure freedom in grimsby. It tells u what psi your running at, has a dead end switch that cuts out the pumps if u get a kinked hose or unplug your brush, shows battery voltage left and improves pump life. Worth every penny. Battery not failed me since.

I got one of the old controllers before purefreedom changed them to digital.

Damn, should have purchased me trolley 18 months later.

Typical, i used to work in a lucky charm factory and it went into administration.  ;D

Same here. I don't worry now I got a split charge relay. Even though I don't do many miles it seems to do the job.

And as lawrencemvc says, I keep a lead that plugs into the cigar lighter under the seat for emergencies.

Are your batts definitely dead?  im only asking you probaly checked this all ready but just in case. I made this silly mistake but its easily to miss. Always check the fuse as after a while they get a build up of a white-ish calcium looking solid on the mental theeth. So the fuse looks good whilst plugged in no break in the wire . But crap round the mental theeth can stop a full supply of power from the batt. I thought my batt was dead as my vari stream kept flasing green then i pulled out the fuse and that was my problem.

Always check your fuse.

Hope this is help to others
