hi everyone.

been at this since just before xmas and its going really well.
got my first shop front to do and they want it done trad. ive never done anything of this size. got 3 panes to do each around 2.5m heigh and 3m wide.

has anyone got any tips that could come in use on this and make it a bit easier. i have only ever done residential windows, no more than a meter square per pane.

Split the window into sections,Soap a section that you can reach(top) Blade,but leave a small amount at the edge(TOP AND BOTTOM) to show where you are,move over, soap the new bit and re wet the original small bit that you left ,now blade this part(if that takes care of the top,(if there is still some to do, repeat the process
Now move down the window and do the same    VOILA.

If its sunny when you do it make sure you load your mop up with plenty of water.

Apart from that mate dunno, expect it to take a bit longer than a 1 metre square piece of glass.

Start top left, work across pane of glass, maybe split it into 2 halves. Give it a go and crack on!

Use a pole and a wagtail if you can get one.  A pole with a squeegee is better than an A frame.

Use a mop and pole soap up the top and 60% down .Using a long squeegee 18 or 22 inch blade down from the center down lean the blade towards the edge you are working and slightly skew towards the outside edge.work across the top then do the bottom half as normal fane style. And finish at the dottom edge.

 18 inch wagtail. Soap all the window and blade off with the wagtail

That was the first couple of days after I got the wagtail. You can't see very well but it's actually an old style wagtail mop and a separate orbital wagtail squeegee.

I took to it straight away on a pole but notice the swap to a standard squeegee doing the bottoms!

If you do shops you should definitely go for a  Wagtail Whirlwind and a pole. Keep the bucket close by - you need to dip it more often than a normal mop.
