Sounds like a electrical fault going to the floats that cut off the incoming water. Cant understand though why this is only happening once the TM is turned off.  Do you know of any websire where i can view the water & electrical system for the Promount 20hp?

Richie.

The answer may be a simple as a new float as you are losing your hot water which is  overflowing from the header tank

If the header is overflowing you just need a new float in the tank. The ones from Woodbridge are rubbish for some unknown reason they have hole in them and eventually fill up with water causing the header to spill over into the van. I took mine out and bought a better one from plumbing supplies and has been brilliant ever since.

Sounds like the high temperature switch on the header, it's there to stop water getting to hot, mine failed in first six months but they still charged me for a new one, if you take wire you are just bypassing it , but you have nothing to stop it over heating.

A new one just screws In the side of the header tank.

About 4 years old, I had a string of problems in the first year but has mainly been good ever since, think they are fairly easy machines to work on, I think Woodbridge service is just a bit hit & miss, I found a local guy to service the machine regularly now & saves on the travelling and some of the nonsense.

Hope you get the problem sorted, sounds like it is the switch to me, seems to be a problem on these machines.

Your spot on there Steve another problem the Panther range have  is with the thermal cut out. If the header tank over flows it soaks the wire attatched  to the Thermal switch and earths the machine out.

I could write reams on the subject your better off calling me.

And before anyone asks NO I'M NOT SELLING MY  25

If you require any thoughts on either your repair or Woodbridge, give Old Man Ingram a call, he's already left you his number.(2 spaces above)
If he can't sort you out, forget it.

My wife say's I'm like a teenager in bed, or was it she'd like a teenager in bed. ;D

I have to say my hearing is not what it use to be, could have a lot to do with running Truck-mounts for years. :'(
