Whats the general perception of window cleaners working on a sunday?

Well, theres lots of folk work on a sunday, shop workers etc......

I think as long as your not banging ladders about at silly o clock in the morning, and waking people up on their 'lie in day' than it would be perfectly fine & acceptable to work on a sunday.

The weather often dictates when we can work, so if its a good working day on a sunday, do we go out and catch up on lost time?

Do it of you want. Explain to customers and get them used to it. Those most agreeable you could save for Sundays.

i have worked the odd sunday but only half day on domestics.11am-3pm.never had any problems though ive not worked a sunday for about 4 years!!

i work quite a lot of saturdays 10am-4pm if ive got a lot of catching up to do and boy!have i got lots to do!! ;Di dont get stressed about it though.its part of the job from time to time!im ready to get stuck in and get some cash flow going again!!and lose a bit of weight!

ive started working on sundays since the run up to christmas most are fine the ones that are not say so and im fine with that

i agree with stan, if ya cleaned mine on a sunday it would be the last time you cleaned them, day of rest, nuff said.

  Re-charge during the week, when off work due to the weather. A day of rest is a bit old fashioned in my view.

  Couldnt agree more, just put in a extra hour a day, or speed up  people have family and friends round on a Sunday the last thing people want to see while eating a roast is a window cleaner.

would never do residential on a sunday, have done a few sats though

 The original poster did mention the weather. A customer might be at work themselves, not have a roast, not have family round,be on their own and glad of the company  , be in the pub.......there`s too many possibilities to say yes or no.

theres a fellow around here cleans every Sunday,everyone has a laugh about it,all the other cleaners know why he does it,, hes on other peoples patches

Just do odd commercial on a sunday and have done odd domestic leading up to xmas just so every one gets windows done before xmas but wouldnt do them rest of year like sundays off

had this before ; get a hoby and practice cleaning windows
if you get fast you wouldnt even contemplate working a sunday nobody in their right mind
would do domestics.

I often do some commercial on a Sunday.  I sometimes do domestics too - though I would never start before 10 on domestics.
Quite simply, they keep saying that there is a recession.  This makes it harder to increase my prices.  The only other two reasonable alternatives are work faster or work longer hours.  When it's put that way, my customers are usually happy for me to do them a huge favour by working on Sunday as it saves me charging them more
