Employment woes

I have just taken on a new guy.

Day 1  Text at 7.15 in the morning, "dave is it alrite if i start tomorrow, I forgot the carpet fitters are coming"
Day 2 ok, but couldnt work past 4.00am
Day 3 "Can i finish early i have to pick my girlfriend up from work"
Day 4 ok but the same as day 2
Day 5 Text 7.15 " I cant come in today, I forgot I have got an hospital appointment.

Next week

Supposed to be meeting me at 1.00 pm to discuss his job: Text at 12.00 , "Dave can i meet you tomorrow, I forgot I am going ice skating"

Next DAY


Me. Sent him text, "dont bother coming in the job has now been taken by someone else".

Employee 2

Day 1 God what  have i done this guys hopeless, no coordination at all

Day 2   Reversed ito a wall, smashed the back light and scuffed the bumber.

Later that day.  turned onto a wall and crushed the cill

Later still scratched the rear quater.

Even later,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Sacked

i am total destroyed, i went for a job there and didnt get the job,  i must be crap, lol

Thats not good news there Dave.

That is one of the reasons I have no wish to employ.

Also if my van needs pranging I do it myself  ;D

sorry I didnt get back to you,

you being over qualified and already being self employed, I felt you would of gone back that way.

they say the most un employable people are the ones who have previously run there own business.

I still have your details and I am interviewing again next week.

its ok david,   i never hold grudges,  thought i might not of got the job, with being self employed for the last few years, as i also got told the worst people to employee are self employed ones lol,  i use to try and avoid them my self lol :) :) :)

i think you were quite tolerant on both of them. i think by day 2 both would of gone!

It was the distance as well 30 miles is quite far really.
