Why not have the best of both worlds? I have an Unger Classic Boab for the washer and a leather holster for the squeegee. My scraper is in a pocket in my bib&brace and my scrim is over my shoulder. (I know - danger of arthritis in my shoulder in later life - It's the one bit of me that doesn't have any sign of it

). My sill cloth hangs on one of the upper rungs, ready for when I need it.
I use the boab as a holster - just give the washer a good dunk and shake off the excess and then I can do a whole 3-bed terrace without needing another dunk. I found the squeegee holder in the boab damaged the rubber, so I went back to my trusty leather holster.
I empty the boab after each job - it's only when it gets an inch or so in the bottom that it starts to overflow and wet my leg.
On the subject of arthritis - for many years before using a boab I held the washer in my right hand by hooking my thumb round the handle, this left my fingers free to hold the ladder. Unfortunately the unnatural thumb position caused problems in the joint between my thumb and hand, which is why I started using the boab, but the damage has been done - I have pains in the joint most of the time now - Ryan Lee if you hold your washer like this, be warned
