I've just bought from here.

http://www.goenergystead.com/Eccotemp_L5_p/l5.htm

Its $172.75 in total, which is about £108.  You might get stung £20 for VAT/duty, but its a cheapest place I found to buy it from

i want 2 in my van when i set it up later in  the year, is this possible, you just put both on to one gas supply??

those of you using them for a long time, are they worth it or do you wish you were using a different set up??

I really like the idea of hot water, I like the simple setup, However and I know it goes away from this thread but, is it a)cost effective, and b)worth all the hassle?

Cost of gas, short ammount of time it's frosty, I think I'll stay with the cold until I can justify the spend.

Just out of interest, how do you get over the seventeen minute cut off thing? that would drive me wild on big jobs.

a) I haven't got mine yet, but I remember Nathanael Jones saying it worked out to about £1 per day for gas (using it full time)

b) fitting takes less than an hour by all accounts, so yes

17 mins: again, this is just from what I have read, but if you have a flow switch at the pole end to turn off flow (most have I think) then that will shut off the heater after a short amount of time as there's no water flowing through it. When it restarts, the 17 mins is reset

Hope I am right. If not please someone correct me, as these are the assumptions I have been working on!

You're spot on.
I found that reducing the pressure switch on my pump helped with the heater resetting. I've a 100psi pump adjusted down to 60psi (Thats still enough to get to the top of an 80' pole and it doesn't affect flow rate) so when I stop the flow at the pole the pump in the van cuts out in half the time, and the heater resets itself that much faster.
