a question about your trolley
« on: December 30, 2009, 09:57:28 pm »
Just wondered if you guys have any pictures of your own trolley ?

How tall is the handle ?
Does it fold down ?
If you have a controller on it, where does it sit ?

Hi JP

I have a freedom trolley you can take a look at anytime, also got a modular pole (you were asking about this the other day).  Just let me know if/when you want to come round.

Hi mate

I have the brodex eco trolley, i find it a nice trolley to use, it has a 100psi pump on it aswell as a controller.

It holds 50L which is great,

I normally fill it to about half way, before i put it in the van, and just top up with jerry cans, as the weight of 50L + trolley is very heavy!

It has a single hand which come off by a little bolt, it can be a bit fiddly at first but i find it ok,

i would say that it isnt the most compact trolley, but i think it is one of the best quality.

i will take a pic in the next day or 2

its a normal sack truck, allways fitted in the car easy enough, now i have a van it sits ontop of the van tank

i have a pump box with a by-pass setup, no controller, as its easy enough to turn on and off as you want, i do not turn off between windows on the same level

You too Andy, let me know when you get that 60 footer ;)

Matt... with my love of creating things and need of a hobby im going to build me a trolley.

Im going to build a pump box for my controller and pump in the van. Im going to make it easily removable, so i can swop it between van mount and trolley. That way i get the joy of a controller on both, but not having to fork out the extra for another pump and controller ;)

Just had a look at pure freedoms trolley. £739.13 !

The trolley itself is a couple of hundred cheaper than that.

What are you doing to use that much water Andy ? I use about 250 - 300 a day on my domestics and i would say i waste a fair bit.

Matt... Yes i have the BUG ! Ive got plans for about 5 different things i want to put together. Though there will be no gaffa tape. Want these looking the part!

Am going to concentrate on one at a time though now. Trolley first. Will pester you with my questions ;D

Mainly commercial so no moving between houses means non stop so I guess that's why.

Still, 160 litres for a whole day seems like a very frugal use of water to me, I probably use this much on just rinsing in a day even on domestics, maybe this guy doesn't rinse?  Whatever the reason, well done to you as the costs of pure water production must be tiny.

Maybe you are rinsing a little too much Andy. The higher up you work, the more you will use as you can be as quick.

I dont know what your work is like, but once you have the first couple of cleans out of the way, you dont need to rinse as much if you get it right firstly.
