How Many

How many windows can you (on average) expect to clean with a back pack before it needs re-filling?
I'm thinking of getting one

you will manage to get a 3 bed semi with a bit left over out of a wcw back pack you can increase this to 2 semis with a tap to control the water .
a shurflo will enable you to do more per full pack depending what speed setting you run it on .
to make the water go further wfp tops and trad bottoms .
where theres muck theres money

About 18ltr in a backpack.
1 ltr a min you'll get 18 mins
1 1/2 ltr a min you'll get 12 mins
2 ltrs a min you'll get 9 mins

not many, 25L barrels are a pain so god knows how people use a back pack day in day out, would drive me nuts, trad down I could understand using a backpack but full time not a chance. odd jobs I can see the benifit

You will use more on the 1st clean. But on maintenance cleans you will very quickly learn to get under 1 litre per minute.
Thing is using less water per window takes longer to clean than a higher flowrate, upto a point.

If you get a backpack, forget getting laodsa barrels if you can. Get just a water tank and a 12v sub pump to refill as you go.
As long as the sub pump is 1/2 decent, i believe you will find your backpack quicker than a van mount on many jobs that it can finish without refilling.

yes you will do a 3 bed semi with a full backpack but as mark dew mentions you will use more on first cleans , if you are only planing on having 4x25 ltr containers you will be better with a shurflo back pack as this is 4 speed on maintance cleans your water will go further , if you can carry more than 4 containers in your car then a wcw backpack would be fine depending on your work load .
