just got a call off an EX customer...(getting on a bit) give me a right bollocking for leaving her an SAE to send payment.
    said that i was hounding for payment? how could i treat my customers so badly?
 as she ,s a pensioner i don't like knocking after dark. also shes a bit deaf and doesn't hear the door.

The reason is she's old

Us oldies reckon we have a right to get a bit cantankerous as the years pass :

We have one just up the road from me - every so often she rings in and says what a shower we are - make a right mess of her windows and she never wants us on her property again.  Then next time our chap is doing her next door neighbour she demands to know why he isn't doing hers

We play it by ear - if she's in a good mood she gets it done, if she starts ranting she gets missed.

Always make sure we get paid at the time, though

If he's that short sighted, move a few garden ornaments about while you're working.  When he falls over them you can tell him that proves you were there

I have just had a call ranting that I have not been to collect. We haven't cleaned her windows for over a year.

I asked her to read out the card that was left and it was a card for another window cleaner and she didn't bother to call the number on the card, she just got my number from her old telephone book.

i had an old woman having a go at me today, i stopped doing her windows ages ago as the job was very dangerous to do off ladders and explained h&s to her. she comes up to me today and says i`ve rang h&s and they say you can do what you like on ladders and then told me i`ve lied to her. i said i wish i known earlier i could be saving myself a whole lot of cash on going wfp.

yeh i always leave stuff in different positions wen i put em back n leave the gate open if they not in,but this guy dint have anythin on his sills and he sed the milkman prob left the gate open,i sed and i guess he cleaned ur windows while he were at it then,coz there blumin clean if u go and check! but he wunt lol
