When i get built up and have myself a bigger van i intend to introduce driveway cleaning to my business, but when i do what is the best way to go about it?  how do i get water for the power hose, do i buy a petrol washer etc?

yep, summer work only... petrol pressure washer.. use customers water... even if on a meter....

any water in your van tank will last you no time,

i did a house in the summer , it had a stream running through the garden... so i sucked water out of there .

be prepared to be absolutely filthy.. dirt gets up your nose in your ears and all over the customers walls and windows...

so lots of cleaning up afterwards... and if its block paving... you will have to brush sand it afterwards (kiln dried sand).

and i hate doing them now.

powerwashing is a great earner, costly to set up and hard work!!

if you want to do it seriously - a petrol washer is the only way to go, you could also use deisel.

its true that the peak is in the summer, but you will get work all year round

for safety reason i,ve been to one and i,m really glad i did it.it's quite straight forward ,just a bit of chemistry .they also gave me a manual with all the information you need in case you get stuck with dificult stains and other things

carpet cleaning is the way forward, not driveways as its seasonal. carpets are all year round 24/7 and great money.

When you say that driveways are seasonal, what do you mean, we are still doing them now and it is almost the end of the year.  Got jobs booked for January too.

Commercial work is year round work if you are prepared to invest in extra kit (hot box etc) and training (IPAF etc).

It takes time to build a solid business but that is no different to any business (carpet cleaning included).

It is good money though.
